Hello,

Its been a really long time since i've posted on here, in fact i think my kenya photos were the last, anyway, the main reason for this has been that my camera and lenses have all been on a nice little trip to canon for cleaning and maintenance. There was so much dust in my lenses and body from the safaris that i felt it was best they had a good checkup. There was a huge delay on getting my 24-105 back as i also asked for it to be calibrated. I've not been happy with the lens since i got it but canon's response was that "it falls within our quality benchmark" bunch of crap!!!!

Anyhoooo,

So then, i had a few days off last week and went up to the lake district and to a nature reserve, the pics aren't anything special, but i just wanted to check out my gear and thought i'd share!

I like the tree fungus and the boats.

sucks about the maintenance excuse, though. :confused: Why would Canon act like that.

They're a company. They're mainly there to make money. If something falls within their definition of acceptable, they're not likely to bother fixing it. Way of the world I guess.

Nice shots, I'm partial to the first two.

Great shots as usual. :) The first squirrel, the shelf mold?, and the boats are outstanding IMO.

They're all great but the boats really do it for me.

I warn everyone I know who goes on safari about the dust. It's ridiculous. The next time I go to a dusty region I plan on using a vortex storm jacket. I think any good rain cover would help a little with the dust.
