I've read that a lesser megapixel camera with a fantastic lens will take better pictures than a higher resolution camera with a lesser lens. Aside for the DSLR's with interchangeable lenses, which of the all-in-ones have the best glass?

Aside for the DSLR's with interchangeable lenses, which of the all-in-ones have the best glass?IMO, the Panasonic Leica lenses would qualify. In every quantitative test of resolution I've seen over on http://www.dpreview.com, that's at least for the FZ3, FZ10, and FZ20, their lenses show higher resolution and less Moire effects than any other cameras against which they were compared.

Kodak has Schneider-Kreuznach, Panasonic has Leica, Sony has Zeiss, and of course Canon, Olympus, and Nikon use their own great lenses. IOW, all of the major players use great glass in some of their models. The reviews will list which models have the better lenses.

I'm thinking of non SLR models since those have interchangeable lenses. Of the 4 - 8 mpix all-in-ones, which have the best glass?

I'm thinking of non SLR models since those have interchangeable lenses. Of the 4 - 8 mpix all-in-ones, which have the best glass? Some review sites offer quantitative comparisons of lens resolution. You have to take into account that the resolution of the lens and the sensor are measured as a package, but since they're intimately "married," that's par for the course. Here's a comparison at dpreview (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicfz20/page8.asp) of the Panasonic FZ20, Kodak 7590, Fuji 5000, and Canon S1. In this comparison, the FZ20 showed the sharpest resolution of all lenses tested, with no Moire effects, unlike the others.

To compare higher MP cameras, here's (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympusc7000/page19.asp) a link to dpreview's Olympus C-7000 review, which pretty much charts out all the 7 mp cameras against each other.
