Is there any software available for printing out your own postcards from own photos (if so what is it), or would it be cheaper to have a printing company do it for large numbers (if the latter is the case can anyone recommend a place?).

I have a Canon Selphy 400 dye-sublimation (uses 3 colors of film, not liquid ink) printer which cost me $49.99. The Canon paper it uses has, on the back, the printed rectangle where to place a stamp, lines where you write an address, and of course, the Canon logo.
So, I can print 4x6 or 4x8 (max) postcards at a cost of about 30 cents and 90seconds each. Very nice if I want to make 4 prints.
However, the time and cost adds up for volume printing. If you want a large quantity, professional printing is the way to go. I can't recommend any in particular, sorry.
