dimage Z20 Viewer Problems

For some reason I can't download pictures from my Minolta Dimage Z20 to my computer. It was fine, then one day it wouldnt allow me to download the pictures to my computer. After I hook up the camera to the computer I turn it on, where it use to say, Initalizing USB connection, it does nothing!
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software after trying everything else but nothing works, Anybody ever have this problem?

When I was first got my K-M Dimage, it lacked the USB cable, so I visited my local Digital Goddess/computer shop owner to find one.

When I showed her the camera and asked about a cable, the first words out of her mouth were, "I'd NEVER connect MY camera directly to a computer."

That made me think: "Do I really want to trust Bill Gates or Steve Jobs with my several-hundred-dollar camera?":rolleyes:

So I bought a multi-card reader for under $20 and use that.
