Here's a slideshow I did for friend's of their daughter's baby naming celebration this past Sunday. All of the shots were taken with someone else's camera using only a 16-35 lens and available light at ISO 1600.

This was my first event shoot, one I didn't know I was shooting until 5 minutes before the ceremony started but it does feel good to have lost my 'event photographer virginity'. Having done this I have all the more respect for CW, Jamison, and all those who are truly artists with their work.

I'd love to get some C&C on this. The Slideshow (http://web.mac.com/rjverlaque/iWeb/Site%203/Movie.html) takes about 2 minutes to download. I'm going to try to convert it to a flash show so it will start streaming immediately and run fullscreen.

Thanks for looking.

Rich--from your previous thread about this event, I was expecting something really bad. You need to give yourself more credit, man! With no notice and less-than-ideal equipment you got some really nice shots! I like quite a few of them. Of course there's room for improvement, but now that you've lost your event cherry, you can be confident that you can at the very least do a decent job under bad circumstances.

And also, while the slide show was a little small, the "Ken Burns effect" makes any photo look professional!
