With SLR cameras like the Sony Alpha A100 or the Pentax K100D that use the CCD shift method of image stabilization, is it possible to see the effects of the image stabilization while shooting? Or is is something that one just has to "assume is working" judging from the shots taken having less blur?
With optical image stabilization in the lens, I can see how the stabilizing effect could be seen though the viewfinder but I don't understand how it can be seen using the A100 or K100D.
I never thought about it before but this question arose when I read about the new Olympus Evolt E510 SLR that has "live view". It is said that live view allows seeing the image on the LCD screen before the shot is taken similar to non SLR cameras, thus allowing the effects of the E510's CCD shift IS to be viewed. Do the A100 or K100D have live view?
