I am a digital camera sort-of-veteran. I bought the Canon S300 3+ years ago and am ready to upgrade. I have spent hours searching through reviews on this site and other digital camera websites and still can't make up my mind. I am leaning towards the Canon SD300, but I figured I'd ask for your opinions...
The biggest problem with my current digital camera is the time lag between my pressing the shutter release and the camera actually shooting the photo. I have a 2-year-old, and I miss tons of photo ops due to this lag. I need a much quicker camera and one that takes multiple photos in a row reasonably quickly. It needs to be at least 4 MP since I love to crop and mess around with the images. 2 MP is not enough. I want to be able to do some manual photography, but it will be mainly for point-and-shoot. I like the little movie clips -- the bigger the better. Lastly it needs to be small. I have small hands and won't carry the camera with me if it is too big.
Help?
