OK I picked up this camera today from my local radio shack only to find the results CRAP!!!

Physical Attributes:
+ Camera is small and sleek looking to the eye.
- MADE OF ALL PLASTIC AND FEELS LIKE MY 8mo. OLD SONS TOY!

Performance:
+ Big LCD
+ Outdoor images okay but still not good.
- LCD looks terrible and has a purple hue to it.
- on any mode all indoor images are filled with noise.

I attached a few full resolution pictures for you to see. I owned the camera for less than an hour and I am heading back to the store for a refund!
Not recommended!

Can't say I'm too surprised. Aside from a "recognizable" name, the GE brand cameras look like yet another line of cheap digicams with impressive claims (hype) and specs, but poor performance. Really not even sure why the GE name would be an attraction for this type of product.

I must say that my experience with the A730 was quite the opposite. Here are a few indoor shots of our cats and our kitchen that I took with it:

In some shots you can notice some noise, but only if you view it full size. As long as you're not printing them to an enormous size, you don't notice it at all.

These were just taken in the auto mode too. The manual mode let's you tweak a lot of things that can iron out quality issues.

I haven't noticed any color problems with the LCD screen either, and neither has my wife.

Nice photos, but with noise, you should use akvis noise buster (http://www.softsea.com/review/AKVIS-Noise-Buster.html), it offers a fully automatic filtering mode that does a good job in eliminating most common noise.
