help, good compact camera ???

i want to buy a compact camera for my sister and am scratching my head.
one big issue is that camera must be small to fit easily in small ladies bag... on the other hand i would like this camera to take good pix.

one option i found is Casio EX-S770 or EX-Z75, the other option would be some Ixus... yep Casio is way slimmer and easier to use as i could see. The other issue is in camera IS... which some smaller Canons do not have. I like Canon ixus 800, bought one for myself yesterday as new back up camera... but i am not certain if this is what a girl wants, also it is fatter compared to Casio.

Would you recommend Casio, or may be else alternatives. I looked at small Panasonics but then saw reviews telling it has more noisy pix. How true?

i studied through and came to conclusion Casio is not anything serious except its slim nice looking body.

i bought second ixus 800 for a present, will need to explain to girls that being able to take good photos is more important than size or look.:D
