Hi
I'm looking for a compact digital camera for my parents. They're retired and spend alot of time abroad in hot countries, so it will have to be good in strong light. They are also need an easy to use point and shoot.
Budget - $300
Size- Compact
Features - 5 - 7 mega pixels
What optical zoom will you need? Standard = 3x-4x
How important is “image quality” to you? 9
Do you care for manual controls? Not really
General Usage
What will you generally use the camera for? Outdoor scenery, inside parties
Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? No
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Wildlife
Miscellaneous
Are there particular brands you like or hate? Like: Cannon and Fuji
Are there particular models you already have in mind? Yes: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35, Fuji FinePix F30 and Canon IXUS 70 (I think it's the SD1000 Digital in the US)
Not sure which of the 3 above to go for or if any forumites have a better alternative.
Thanks
