Great D80

Hello!
I'm a new member and I have recently purchased a Nikon D80 body and a 18-200mm VR Nikon lens.

This is my first DSLR having previously owned a Canon EOS5 with 28-105 usm + f1.4 50mm and E430z flash which I found great.

Can any one suggest which is the best case to get using the D80 Camera and the 18-200 lens. I dont care for the camera bags and realy want a fitted case.

Also what would be the best filter to protect the lens?.

Your views would be much appreciated.

congrats on the D80 and welcome to the forum. may be better off posting in the nikon forum, you may get more responses to nikon specfic questions.

by case do you mean hard case or soft case ? i think your gonna have to go to a camera shop and just try out what fits your needs better. i'm not big on tight fitting cases, i think a backpack like the lowepro slingshot is much more convenient and easy to carry around.

a high quality UV filter is the best bet to protect the glass.
