I have a Kodak EasyShare Z710, and was dissapointed to find that the G series paper kits cost about $.50 per photo, when my regular camera photos cost $.41, including the cost of film and developing.

I know that I can have photos processed at photo places for about $.18 per photo, but is there any resource for cheaper G series printer kits, or can some other kits that are cheaper substitute.

Thanks,

Rick

I work at a walmart photo lab, and we always make fun of people who buy the kodak printers, and the people who are surprised at how expensive the refill packs are. You're paying triple the price per print just so you don't have to go to the store. The markup on them is less than 14% (the price we sell it to you over the price Kodak sold it to us). So I sincerely doubt you'll find them at any worthwhile discount.

You can buy the 200 sheet pack for $50.65 at Amazon with free shipping. That works out to about .25 per print and is about as cheap as you can get. The Kodak printer dock really makes nice at home prints.
