Canon Powershot SD700 or SD800

hmmm i was thinking about getting a camera for my graduation present. I've been looking at both of these camera's and i was wondering which one you guys would get. The SD800 has the wide lens but then the SD700 seems to be sharper? well i just want some opinions. i can get them for around the same price now so price isnt the issue.

What do you value more; having a wide angle lens or image stabilization? You need to give us more information to help you. How do you plan to use the camera, what's important to you?

well i thought both the sd700 and 800 both had IS. well i just wanted a camera where i could just take quick shots with ease and not have to carry around alot. i have a canon s2 with a teleconverter lens but i find that i dont like to carry it around alot. i just dont like holding a bag. i mean i have read reviews about both of these cameras but is the sharpness tradeoff really significant? i mean i guess its unique to have a wide lens and thats what i want, but i just dont want to compromise it's sharpness. do you kinda get what im saying?
