There doesn't seem to be much interest in the Canon TX1 on this site but I'm hoping I can get a "second opinion" from one of you.
A member of another forum states that if you video in 640x320 instead of HD that you can increase the 10X optical zoom by a factor of 1.5X or even 1.9X. This would be quite a feature, if true.
As most of you know, newer high megapixel Canon cameras can increase to these zoom factors with a trade off of megapixels. To date, this has only been possible with stills and did not work in video on cameras such as the A710.
I suppose I could call Canon but I always like to hear from actual users whenever possible. Thanks!
