A95: how long is the usb cable?

i could only find the information that a usb cable is included but i have no idea how long it is and can't find a pdf-manual or additional infos concerning this on the canon homepage.

The length of the USB cable supplied with the Canon A75 is 4 ft. More than likely Canon uses the same length USB cable for all their digital cameras.

If for some reason your USB is too short you can just buy an extension cable. They go for around 20 bucks and you can "Daisy Chain" them together to get pretty much as long as you want. if the cable is too long, well then the only thing I can suggest is a rubber band.

There is actually a length limit of around 20 meters on USB cables. Over 20 meters and signal strength will begin to drop off and data errors will increase, slowing the transfer rate.

Most USB cables supplied with equipment are around a meter length. It is possible to get much longer cables but as I said, there are practical limits imposed by electrical resistance and by increased interferance over longer cable lengths.
