Does anyone have any experience with using a Nikon 4T Close-up lens on a Canon S3? It appears to be 52mm threaded so I would need to step it down from 58 (58mm lensmate adapter) but I imagine this would not be a problem.
Thanks!

If you have any examples please post them here.

Also, any experience with Sony VCL-M3358 Close-Up would be nice as well.

No but I will watch for replies. I don't know whether to buy a close up lens or one of the close up sets that sort of look like filters.

I've no experience with the Nikon close up lens, but Raynox makes an extremely nice Close up/ Macro lens. It's a snap in so I believe you don't need to buy a step down ring. ( you may wanna double check that first)

Hoya's Close Up set is what I use because you can pick which diopter strength you can use +1 +2 or +4. and the filters are double threaded so you can stack them to make +3 or +5.. +7whatever.

I don't think you'll find too many people here who use a nikon macro lens.. most of the regulars here use the Raynox DCR 250 or use the Hoya lens set.

Hope any of this info helps!

Thanks for the replies.
I was looking for something with 2 elements and with decent focus distance. Don't you lose quality using the hoya close-up kit? Particularly when using all three filters at the same time?

Hmmmmm, I suppose there is decent support for the Raynox DCR-250 marco lens. I may just give it a try.

I've used the Nikon 6T on my Canon 400D.
