I purchased a Bell and Howell 6.0 MP digital camera for my daughter, an art student in Dayton. She has an apple powerbook G4. I wonder if it's compatible. If not, what camera would you suggest instead?

Duncan, I suspect this is the camera:

I don't know Apples, but since the camera comes with a USB cable and uses SD memory, there shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

Hello novice,
I clicked on the link in the above post -- I hope that you didn't spend $300 on any B&H camera, especially that one. The reason why I say that is that you can get a better camera for half the price, a much better camera for 2/3 the price, and a camera that will blow away the B&H for the same price.
I know you didn't ask this specifically, but I just couldn't stand by and see someone spend that much money on a camera that doesn't even have an optical zoom. If you can send it back, please consider doing so. If you do decide to change, come back here and ask what cameras can be had for $300.

If that's the camera then this is the worrying sentence:
CMOS 2848 x 2136 pixels (6.0M pixels), (14 pics.) Sensor area 1.2”
uses interpolation to achieve 6.0 Mega Pixels.
If it's interpolated then what's it interpolated from? VGA?
