here was my first attempt to take concert photos.
I had some that I'm pleased with, but then some others that I wish I knew what the heck I was doing when I was taking the pics!
So if you have any tips, please let me know.
I was using a Canon SD 630 digital camera.

Would've been nice if you could have found a way around using such a high ISO, but aside from the ridiculous amount of noise, they're pretty nice.

ISO is the setting that controls the camera's sensitivity to light. Low ISO settings mean that you need more light, high ISO settings mean you need less. The problem is that at high ISO settings, the images have "noise", they look grainy.

I assume you were shooting in Auto mode, which would choose a high ISO value under concert conditions. If you tried those shots at low ISO the shutter would have to stay open longer to gather enough light. The singers would be blurry but the image would have less noise.

It's always a tradeoff.

thank you so much! Cool. I'll have to play around with it some more & see what outcome that I like the best.

Concerts have got to be one of the hardest conditions to shoot in. I think you did a great job with what you had. :) Decreasing the ISO would have made too much motion blur I think. I encourage you to try though!
