Can't get any love in the which camera should I buy forum so I'll try here.

I want a sub-compact and love Canon's. I want soemthing with a decent zoom that will take good quality pics indoors and out. I am no pro and would not claim to be so I want something easy to use.

Been considering 4 and cannot decide: SD700, 750, 800 and 1000! I know the 700 and 800 have IS but I'm not sure it is a must have for me. I just want good looking pics.

Price not being a factor which would you buy and why?

May as well add the sd900 to the mix. Looking at prices it is maybe $30 more that the 800!

SD800 would probably be my choice. I think I would rather have the IS personally.

SD800 is 7mpx with IS.

SD900 is 10mpx without IS.

I would go with one of the above. You would have to decide which is more important - more mpix or IS. Both have ISO 1600 for low light (non flash) but the SD800 has IS and it should help with low light still pictures. It won't help with movement in low light though.

If you are printing Poster size pics you would prefer the SD900 ;)

I currently have a SD600 and I really like it. It is easy to use and takes fine pictures so I would definitely recommend the SD Canons. :)

I have searched and read so many reviews and keep coming back to either the 700is or 800is.

I think I may go with the 800 because of the wide angle and IS.

Low light levels is one of the main issues with small digital cameras. IS helps a lot by allowing accepted pictures at a slower shutter speed. I would not get a small digital camera without IS. IS is more important than the mpx.
