find the "mm" in zoom? on powershot a95.

There is no display on the A95 that shows zoom range or mm equivalency.., How do I find out, when I want to shoot at for eg 50mm, 90mm etc?

Is it a matter of guessing with these cams?

As far as I know, the only cameras that show this are those with manual zoom controls (the Sony DSC-F828 and KM Dimage A-series come to mind). I could be wrong, though.
