I've gotten more into shutter dragging lately, and I want my WB balance of the subject and ambient background to match. Are these color filters big enough for me to either rubberband or velcro onto the 580?

I'm trying to find that book that can has all the color sets but I can't seem to find it.

They don't look tall enough to me. According to B&H [click (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=410488&is=USA&addedTroughType=search)], the SB-R200 that they're designed for only has a lens that appears to be about 1.25 inches high (at most) x 3.1 inches wide. The whole dang thing is only 3" high, and the head doesn't look to even occupy half that. The 580EX lens is about 1.5" high x 3" wide. So width wise you'd be ok but I don't think it would cover the 580EX's beam well enough.

I'm not sure if they are big enough but Cokin make gel filters which you can cut to size.

I don't have that problem with mine.
