Just spent a week at Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, NSW Australia. What a lovely place to take your camera. Plenty of $$$ tied up at the wharves (literally).
Took a Ferry ride across to Tea Gardens (spent a week there that afternoon :( )....boring. For those who are familiar with Australia, just think of Dubbo but without the glamour :D .
Anyway, here's some shots around the Marina at Nelson Bay.
Makes you forget about home instantly :

A New Day: That is so totally a postcard :p
Away from the Wife: Wonderful shot, aside from the title ;) The silhouetted boat really makes it a refreshing change from the typical sunset shots.

Away from the Wife by far my favorite.
I really like pretty much all of the images with the exception 'Canon Fodder' although I can't figure out why it isn't working for me (especially since I love to sail and love wooden yatchs). Because the rope ladders and rigging are so intricate it's blending too much with the background and appearing like parts are missing to me- Couldn't you get them to move her to open water for your shot? ;)

Yes Rich....that's the problem. Scene is too busy.
You might appreciate this shot more :

And yes, they did move it .....right out of the harbour, the next day :p .

The details are so fine and my eyes are tired.... I might just need to come see it in person ;)

- It sure looks like a beautiful place. I felt the same way about holidays coming to an end when I left Tahiti and Bora Bora; that was the most beautifully relaxing place I've ever been.

Awesome Gaza!
Ray of Sunshine (Number 2) is a winner! - but great set all round.

Thanks Gilly.....my 5yr old and 14yr old even caught their first fish (and let them go, of course) while we were there....so great results all around :D

Nice series! I especially like the sun rays in the 2nd shot in the first series (I wonder how this image would look if shot with an ND grad :D ).
Also, the last shot of the second series has wonderful colors.
One suggestion though - you may want to consider straightening your horizons in these shots.

Man, I've got some shots that really need help with the horizons :D
A tough situation is when the horizon (in this case a bay area), does not stay in an easily perceptible horizontal plane. There were several shots where I thought I had it right, but was way off.
I often tried to use the vertical masts of boats to give a guage, but this was not always successful either :( .
So yes....I need practice :)
