Has anyone found a really good brand of non-OEM batteries for the XTI? I've tried a brand called Power2000 and a completely unlabelled make with disappointing results. Any tip toward a brand that has similar performance to the Canon batteries would be appreciated. Thanks!

I "think" you're referring to the BP-511 BP-512. I've bought many off ebay and they have served me well, my advice is avoid any cell that lists 7.2V, for whatever reason the 7.4V units have proved more dependable. I also have not been able to use the flat topped versions, they need the molding like the original BP-512 to fit properly in the cameras or the battery grips. Remember that like lots of stuff, just because it doesn't say canon and cost 50 bucks doesn't mean it didn't roll off the same assembly line. The trick is figuring out which ones came off the same assembly line.

I've noticed many members of POTN recommend Sterlingtek batteries.
