whether to keep the FZ20 or maybe buy a G6. I downloaded some pics from Steves Digicams site, ie. the red brick building and the boat picture, and the G6 definitely has better image quality for those 20X30 pictures. Since the G6 is a seven megapixel camera, you should be able to crop the pictures to make up some of the difference in zoom power. How much is an interesting thought. Actually, I was considering the C 765 for awhile, until I downloaded a big picture and it did not come out, probably due to the 4 megapixels.
out of all the non DSLR cams, the G6 seemed to me like the only one that stood out (picture quality wise) and had that extra punch in it's photos, the kind that you see in D-slr photos. can someone who is used to Ultra zoom cameras reallly live with such a huge drop in zoom? You might want to consider the D-rebel as the prices are way down right now (not much more $$$ than the G6) with it's picture quality being much better than the G6. You can then get whatever lenses you want, but that's the expensive part.

of my price range, even the G6 is more than I would like to spend, and I may wait a few months till the G6 comes down lower in price. I may just keep the Panasonic, because at 504.00, it all the $$ I really have for a camera. Actually, with 8X10 photos, I probably wont notice much difference in photo quality, and even with 16X20 prints I am not sure how much difference I will see. I am really new to the photo scene, so I am just taking an educated guess. The FZ20 did get some glowing reviews, especially on dpreview. Thanks.
