I been a customer of CDW for many, many years. They also carry the SONY A100 "system" and can effectively get everything that SONY is releasing for it ... and the new bodies, too.

Deals: Deals fluctuate, so I won't be held to this, but after a discussion, this afternoon (4/12/2007), you can get the SONY A100H w/ the DT18-200 lens for ... $999.

Now, that is good deal for this combination (CDW # 1180094). Restrictions are that you can only return a DSLR to CDW if it is defective. They are good about returns, but it has to be "straight up."

If you insist on the standard SONY A100K kit (that is the DT18-70mm kit lens), that price currently stands at $749 (CDW # 994856)

Well, it took some time to get this lined-up, but if some people get a break, more power to 'em. Even I didn't get to enjoy this deal. I paid MSRP the first day it was available, here in Chicago, back in July 2006. I had a coupon for items at 10%-off, so I did get some relief, but nothing this good. :eek:

I am hoping I can do better when I upgrade to the A10 body.

Amazon.com also has the A100 kit with the 18-200 for $988, sold by Amazon therefore free shipping. CDW no doubt has better customer service, but I'm pretty confident Amazon isn't going to screw me over. Plus I've got a $100 gift card for Amazon that I've been trying to use. I think I might finally pull the trigger. :eek:

Be careful what you buy, the A100K(18-70mm) and the A100H(18-200mm) are enormously different. Both are effectively kits.

come to see me at the vaughan mills sony store. we have a deal on the 18-200 lens for 499 instead of 669 if bought with the dslra100 body.

on any camera or lenses come to see me and i'll give you the best deal i can as i'm working there currently.
