I found someone locally asking $2000 for this. Is this a good price and something anyone on the forum would be interested in?

Depending on the click count that could be a right fair or bargain price... but it's the full frame (slower) 1Ds so I wouldn't be interested in it personally.

Maybe someone else...

For pretty close to that price you could get a used 1D MkII (if it's a 1 series you're craving), or a used 5D (if it's full frame that you want). Both of those bodies have newer technology...

I wasn't looking at the camera for me- I've already got the 1D Mark IIN and I'm holding off on FF for a bit. I was posting it more for others who wanted a FF 1 series camera- I think it could be had for a few hundred less.

I've budgeted for a pair of 1D Mark IIIs and a pair of 580EX IIs (the word 'budgeted' being applied very loosely), there ain't no way I can go a 1Ds too!
