Canon 1D ISO200 + Sigma 12-24mm @ 12mm f/5.6
Boosted the contrast, saturation, & vibrance a few notches and voila!

Left side supposedly. But both sides are equally "soft" due to distortion in this particular shot anyway as far as I can tell. I can live with it.

Hmmm... can you hear that? I believe I can hear a CW in OZ pondering if he should invest in his very first non-Canon Sigma EX ultra wide...

I think you are right- snowball effect. First he purchased an f/4 lens, next a 3rd party lens, and before you know it Jamie will have a buyer for his D80.;)

I took these a few weeks ago - nothing special, but UWA is so much fun.....
Once you go UW, you'll never look back. :D
12mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm and 10mm respectively....
(Hope I'm not hijacking your thread Don!!)

Hey, I love my Siggy. Now all I need is FF or near FF body to go with it....
So when did you pull the trigger on it?

Thanks forn!
No prob Mike...we needed to see something besides my driveway!
Nick I spotted it on POTN friday, received it about 4 hours ago. $450 all in. No box or packaging materials but the case, caps, and funky adapter/cap thing are there. Good physical shape as well.

That's my goal forny. I'm in talks with a possible 2nd 1D Mark I acquisition to hold me over until the 1D III has been tried and true. I'm not an early adopter type, and I'd like the price to be sub 4K if I can help it. I can then take my sweet time saving the full cash (or nearly so) of the Mark III rather than extending it on plastic...at which time I would have three 1 Series' in the bag...nice, strong, sturdy camera bodies less likely to fail than a 20D/30D/5D.
If that doesn't go through I'll pick up a Mark II only when needed and just work the Mark III or IV in further down the road.

This is a really beautiful shot. I love the framing. My eyes automatically enter the frame at the bottom of the driveway and I think the signature actually helps pull my eye there. My eyes get pulled up the driveway and then along the road to the left, eventually leading me out of the frame. Then my eyes have to bounce back to where they started. Really nice.

Funny. To me it's just a snapshot. :p
My mother told me it looks like an invitation. I said "yeah see how it's facing the road? It's an invitation to leave!" haha.
