I'm interested in purchasing an all-in-one that will work both as a Mac computer-coupled (fax a file) and stand-alone fax machine. I had an HP2510 that was pretty good, but it didn't have a document feeder and didn't print panoramas. I liked the HP because I could fax from any Mac on my home LAN.

I'm told Epson all-in-one's don't fax, and that they're prone to nozzle plugging. I'm told Canon is good, but the new Pixma MP780 isn't available yet (I can wait a month or so).

Does anyone know if I can print wide panoramas (20-30 inches, 40 inches max) from the Canon printers?

Does anyone have specific recommendations?

Not sure anyone here uses an all-in-one, printer-fax-copier, for photos, so you might have to wait patiently for an answer.

Wish I had a answer for you on this one.

fastest and most accurate way of finding out is to contact canon USA directly.
their site is: CanonUSA.com you'll probably never get an answer for that one on this forum.

i've heard of the same problem on many of the Epson printers.

i'm quite happy with my canon photo printer (one of the 6 color models), so much so that my HP photo printer (more expensive than the canon) is going to be given away as a gift. you might have to tone down the magenta inks setting on canon, as sometimes they are a little oversaturated on default settings.
