For low light you should consider Fuji cameras. For your budget I would say the Fuji F20, or Z3. These are pure automatic Point and Shoot cameras that have excellent high ISO's and with 3x zoom. If you can go up a bit more pick up the F30 or F31FD instead. These are basically the same as the F20 except with manual controls, higher ISO capability, and much better battery life. The F31FD has face detection (FD) over the F30.

If you want more zoom, consider the Fuji S6500FD, which has a 10x zoom and starts with a 28mm wide angle lens.

hi shahmatt, thanks a lot for your reply. i am planin to buy a sony w55 or a canon a560.......but i am really confused cause the canon uses AA batries and the sony has a li on battries i guess.........now the canon comes in use when am off trecking and where there is no electricity i can use the a strip of AA battries where as sony has a much better battery life but i cant charge it without n e electricity.

so am thinking which one should i buy........the sony looks better than the canon but the canon has 4x optical where as sony has a 3x optical zoom..........

guys/photographers/gurus...........please help me decide the camera...........

thanks a lot
