When I take doggie pic's, I seem to get green eye's. If you look at the link, click on full size, you can see it on the dog on the left. I tried the red eye tool, but it does nothing. Any idea's how to get the green out. Thank's, Cal

It is the same thing as human redeye, both of which is caused by the light of the flash bouncing off the back of the eyeball.
Before the picture is taken: Try to use natural light as much as possible, and if not possible, try redeye-reduction mode, if present.
After the picture is taken: I don't know if the redeye erase feature in the average photo software just keys off the red, but you might try a program that allows you to "airbrush" a different color over the green. I think microsoft "paint" in the accessories section of the included computer software might allow you to do this.

The red eye tool in Paint Shop Pro has a feature under red eye called animal eye. It works very well. It also allows you to outline the shape of the green portion you wish to blacken - great for cats which do not have round pupils. I image other "high end" editing programs have a similiar feature.

Thank's for the idea's guy's. I have Element's 3. I'll take a look in there and see what I can find. Hopefully it has the animal eye's. I didn't have any luck trying to paint them. Cal
I just zoom in real close and carefully (doesn't take much skill) use the burn tool at 50% +. I start by selecting "highlights" as the range, then move on to "midtones" as the highlights get darker and then on to "shadows''. it should look good but something might seem a bit off. that something is probably the missing glare that is usually seen on the dark part of the eyes. You can either draw this in with a white "Pencil Tool" at the 1 pixel size and draw it in the shape of a jelly bean, cresent, or lobsided oval/circle (it should be so small that it looks real when zoomed out) or for a more accurate look you could cut and paste the "eyeball glare" off of another picture. please excuse the simple terms i used.
