Well, my built-in flash is a goner. I'm not sure if the bulb just popped, or if its something more involved. Fortunately the camera is still on warranty, so I can get it fixed, however, that puts me probably a month out while its at Nikon getting fixed.

I searched for a replacement bulb but no one carries one.

Maybe Ill run over to the camera store and see if the flash is still being triggered. If thats a problem, then I know for sure I have to send it in. Damn it. I have 2 weddings and a weekend of track days coming up in the next month.

Why now of all times!!!! Why not a month ago when I had nothing going on!!!!

So how's everyone else's day going?

Until you can afford to send it away for a few weeks, go rent/buy an SB flash for the events you will be photographing. If you can't do that, look into borrowing a body from someone.

Nikon is normally very fast with turn around time on repairs, I got mine back in 9 days(although it was just for a sensor cleaning). The average wait it 2-3 weeks, depending on severity of repair.

Sorry to hear the bad news, it sucks, I know. Good luck.

That is unless my camera is failing to trigger the flash. If that is the case, an external flash may not work either.

Im going to head over to the camera store tomorrow to test out an external flash. If it works, then maybe its just a bulb. It sucks that I would need to send this into Nikon for a replacement. Judging by my schedule, Im looking at mid-June before I can send it in. Hmmm... Maybe I can rent a body while its in the shop...

No, thats a bad idea. I need to recoup from my last big purchase.....
