I have downloaded Picasa2 and after a few days of working with it am pleased with the adjustments it is allowing me to make.

I do however have a few questions.

1. How do you save the changes you make to the photos? There is a "Hold" button. Is that the purpose of this feature?

2. Secondly and more important. How do you transfer photos from the folders in Picasa to your harddrive? When I go into Windows explore there are no photo folders under the Picasa folder....and when I go into the Pictures folder under My Docs....they are the "old" version of the pictures I made changes to.

Somewhat confused on this...any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

1.open up a picture in picasa and you are ready for editing.you can see editing options ranging from basic fixes to effects. After editing them, open
file and use the option export to a folder. There is no default folder ,however
i save them to desktop for easy reference.Hold button is used for quick reference, something like minimizing a file in windows.Once u click the hold button it is minimized in space provided and even if u view another folder or
picture still u can click the pic in the hold tray with ease.

2.I think you got some problem with adding pictures to picasa.firstly
open picasa ,the screen usually shows a bunch of pictures in the pc-go to tool menu open folder manager ,it shows the picture folders on the left-click on the desired folder and use scan once option .Otherwise scan always function will help you to open pictures in picasa.
In the first attachment you can see i used the i'm feeling lucky option for editing.

You can also use the Save feature to save any changes to your pictures while keeping them in the original location. Click the Save Changes button to do this (outlined in red) or you can right click on an individual picture and click Save
