Hi all,

Would like to upgrade my present Kodak DC215, yep its old!

I have compact flash cards for this and lots of Nimh AA batteries.

Narrowed it down to the following: 1. Canon S1-IS, 2. Panasonic FZ3, 3. Kyocera M410R.

They are all very similar prices and all have big zooms Would be nice to stick with AA batts and compact flash card so the Canon? I have read loads of reviews and this canon has some image quality issues Also read that the Panasonic FZ3 Has much better image quality than Canon!

The Kyocera is the unknown have read some good reviews on this though and the EVF and LCD are very very good! This model has the fastest shot to shot time I have read the review of this camera on this web site, Not very encouraging the shots were not very good but on Steves-digicams the review was much better the owners forum also had sample pictures which were very good.

AAAAAARRRGH!!!

Reading too many reviews can seriously damage your health, they all contradict each other.

Any help or recommendations would be a great help!!

Thanks

Ian

well, it sounds like you've already done as much homework as you can on these cameras... the only other thing i can recommend would be to try them out in a store and see which you like handling the most and which, if any, have any features you think you'd like.

does the kyocera have image stabilization? that would be a priority with me if i were to go for a long zoom camera. for what it's worth, my preference among these three would probably be the panasonic.

I second the Panasonic. Just got an FZ3 and it's been phenomenal. I take pictures of my daughters and I can see every strand of their hair and every eyelash on their eyes. You can't go wrong with that camera.
