Hi , I am having a problem with my software . When I connect my camera to my computer the Camera Window does not show up . The computer reconizes the camera , and all other programs work Zoombrowser EX , Photostich , EOS Utility ect... When I click on Camera Window I get the little hour glass by the arrow , like its trying to load but nothing shows up .I am using brand new batteries , do you think I need the AC power supply ?? I also uninstalled the software and reinstalled it . Any ideas why the Camera Window doesnt load up ??

Thanks

One more thing when I click on Camera Window , after about 2 minutes of the little hour glass trying to load the program . A window comes up that says camera not detected .:(

Did you put the camera setting into review mode? It won't download in the record mode.

Personally, I use a cardreader to transfer.

Okay Im probably going to go with this one SanDisk ImageMate Card Reader (SDDR-12-01) . Will this transfer video from my SD Card ?? All the card reader descriptions I read , only say they transfer photo images .

The one that stands up? 12 in 1? This is the one I have.

I have that one. It works great. The readers transfers photo and video. They are just computer files, so it makes no difference. I use it to write back/transfer photos to my cards too.

The one I seen was 5 in 1 . Ill go with the one you showed , it looks like it has more features. Circuit City has it for $40.00 usd .

Thanks

Check out newegg.com for good prices on memory cards. I bought my SD800 there and a SanDisk card packaged with it. It works fine w/ video. I would also recommend a card reader. You can get a SanDisk brand reader for about $20. Safer than hooking directly to your camera.

Did you install any new USB devices lately? Upgrade your printer drivers? Did you have the printer turned on?

I find that CameraWindow doesn't work when my HP printer is turned on. I get the camera not found error. I turn the printer off and it works perfectly.

No my printer is not connected , but I did notice when the Camera Window was trying to load , the printer icon in the right hand corner by the time display was flickering . The icon has a red X thru it .Your right , that probably had something to do with it . Anyway I just bought the Sandisk 12 in 1 card reader . WOW downloaded 2 videos in under 30 seconds . Thanks to everyone for the help , much appreciated . Rebel thanks for the recommendation , so far its working perfect .

Just remember! Always put your card back in the camera after you download. :p

Sorry for yelling, had to get that message to stick in your mind.
