What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? 300$-400$
What size camera are you looking for? Size not matter at all for me, but I'm not looking for digital reflex

How many megapixels will suffice for you? 6 is sufficient

What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) Other: 3x-10x
* How important is “image quality” to you? 10 image quality is very important for me

* Do you care for manual controls? Yes

General Usage

What will you generally use the camera for?

Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?

* Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? yes

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? I prefer Canon, Pentax, Fuji, Sony, Nikon, Panasonica (with leica lens), I hate casio, HP

Are there particular models you already have in mind?

* (If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) I need optical impage stabilization (not electronical), high ISO, face detection (if it's possible), great sensor, good lens, lithium battery

Thanks!

Fuji F30 and S6000 have high ISO but not IS. I don't think there are any cameras with everything you want for $300-$400. Rank your requirements in order of importance:

$300-$400
IS
good in low light, high ISO
good sports/action
lithium

And what do you think about fuji f40fd, fujif31fd, canon a710is, canon digital ixus 70 or panasonic dmc fx12? or with 400$-450$? I prefer compact or ultra compact camera...

Got the H5 for 450 euros wich is now around 400 or under, 12x optical zoom and 7 megapixels, haves steadyshot and large 3" lcd with protection.
I´d say it´s quite good for this price and the H7 and H9 are ready to come out so it will drop even more for the H5, the new models to come will bring 8 megapixel and 15x optical zoom
I´m done for this kind and grabbing the A100 DSLR in the end of the month, still a bit confused if instead getting the D80 ... what is a bit disapointing on H5 and W100 is the jpg format only, for the rest i´m satisfied, using them mostly to record video on 640x fine, drains the 4gb card in 50mins ready to fit on DVD and watch.
