I liked the "timeless" quality of this scene. Do you think it is improved by B&W? I used the Channel Mixer for the first time.

definatley better in b/w. :)
it's a tad over esposed though. i tried a quick sharpen and levels and curves to bring it out a bit. a little more work and it'll turn out a treat.

Thanks, Rooz. I like your edit. I just wish there was less clutter in the background of my image. Next time maybe.

I like the b&w, it does look a little overexposed too me as well.

Rooz's sharpening is a little more than I like, because it just brings out the branches in the background too much, but the rest looks good.

yeah, i agree. i shoulda "minus brushed" the background. i may do it anyway cos it's buggin me now. lol

minus brush is your friend. added a hint of sepia aswell.

That is better, less harsh.
I like sepia shots too, but I worry I do it too often.

Do what you like to do. I use the fisheye "too much" :-)
