I don't know if it's just me or not. I took these on a really cloudy day, maybe that has something to do with it. Most of these were really far away, so zoom on almost all of them were at 12x, or close to it. My FZ20 was set on p mode. Ya, I'm a newbie. :o

http://community.webshots.com/album/230298919RnKbWF?647The skies are washed out, which is a clue to overexposure. Try, in P mode, pushing up the Rocker switch to the +/- EV scale, and dropping the exposure to -1/3 to -2/3 EV. If you get used to looking at results in the LCD panel or through "Quick Review" in the EVF, you'll come to spot this situation and correct it on the spot. It takes time and experience, and patience. :o

you could also try metering the sky instead of the foreground to avoid washed out skies. remember that the pana doesn't seem to add as much in-camera saturation as other models do. you could always add more saturation in post-processing and if that isn't enough, maybe step up the contrast a tiny bit.
