Hello!

I saw this in another thread...thought I might use it as start up in finding what I need.

Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.

Up to $230

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?

Size doesn't really matter.

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you?
6 or 7

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)
3x-5x

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
8

Do you care for manual controls?
Not really

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?
Very good Image quality, mainly for family get togethers both outdoors (scenery like) and indoors ( parties both night and day etc..) and landscape, mountains and deserts...

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
maybe a 8x10 for my sisters graduation

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
When Football season starts then yes.

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?
There is no particular brand

Are there particular models you already have in mind?
Nope, the last camera my parents bought was in 1994 when my little brother was born, we've been using that ever since.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)

It be nice for anti-blur, weatherproof and image stabilization came with it.

also if the camera used AA batteries and the lithium as back up if possible?

Thanks!:o

Canon A560 or A630, Kodak C875.

"also if the camera used AA batteries and the lithium as back up if possible?"
Many use AA but why do you want a lithium backup? Some Kodak's can use either.
