Im after a bag for my upcoming D80. Im going to have 2-3 lenses to start with and one is going to be a 70-300mm
I've looked at some of their models but it seems alot dont fit 300mm lens in it. seems a bit strange.
Any suggestions on a bag I should get that WILL hold this lens?
I'm after a backpack, Im still undecided whether I want a laptop/camera backpack or just a camera one.

I recently picked up the Slingshot 300. Not sure how long your 300mm lens is but you can configure it alot of ways (it is 6.5 inches tall). And unlike a backpack you can get to your camera without taking it off as it swings from front to back.

I use the AW200 for day trips and it fits my Xti with the 70-300 IS USM attached - although be it very snugly. Have enough room left over for a lens or two, flash unit and accessories.

A former co-worker of mine had the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW for her setup which included a 70-300mm lens with her Canon 20D with attached battery pack. It worked well for her.
It is a backpack pack, but she never used it that way.

I have the slingshot 200 and the 70-300 fits in one of the compartments. If you keep that lens on the camera, it barely fits and I don't do that.

I also have the Mini Trekker Classic, great bag and holds everything in my sig with room to spare. It is big enough to hold my 70-200vr (over 9" long) mounted or not to the D50.
