I'm 99% sure I'll be purchasing a D80 within the next few weeks. Im very excited about this :)
One question - I have read how clear the viewfinder is on the D80 which is great.
I currently have a Panasonic FZ20 and can not use the viewfinder due to my bad eyesight, I just cant seem to see anything clearly through it.
Will this be a problem for me on the D80?
Thankfully I dont have a need to use the EVF on the FZ20 but I know that wont be the case on the D80.

Only you can find out if it will be a problem for you, you are the only one who can use your eyes to find out...
Just hop into a shop and look through a D80 view finder.

Longroad.... I completely understand your concerns. I too, have very poor eyesight, and my left eye is even uncorrectable with eyeglasses. I wind up using my right eye to look thru the viewfinder. I agree that only you can judge your specific needs, but rest assured the D80 viewfinder is excellent.
As an aside... I recently purchased a right angle viewfinder (Hoodman brand) and it compliments the camera very well. I like to shoot automobiles, and it allows me to achieve wonderfully low perspective shots without having to lay on the ground. It also has 2X correction.... I am able to put my eyeglasses in the camerabag and compose using my naked eye with perfect results.

Thanks for the info. I've never heard of a right angle view finder but it definitely sounds useful.

I have an FZ20 and upgraded to the D80 tooo. THe viewfinder is much larger on the D80 and far far clearer (since you are looking through the lense itself). I have very good eyesight but found the transition very significant.
You should not be disappointed. the view finder has a diopter correcting wheel too.
thanks
