Photo gate hardware for remote trigger?

I've searched the forum, but am interested in experiences with a gate device, that is, a remote trigger when a beam is broken.

A motion detector is not appropriate when you want a camera to fire when an object crosses a specific place.

Of course, I wouldn't mind if I built it. thanx, sam

Still there? I was a week late in finding this. Anyway, you could try this link - it's an educational series about high-speed flashes and how to trigger them. It's loaded with ideas.
