So this complete lens newbie question. I always been a bit confused about the crop-factor, does it always specify on lenses in "fullframe" mm or sometimes in "digitalframesize". So I decided it must be always be the "fullframe" mm so have to multiply to get what it will be on my Nikon D80.

Just to get closer to my thing to work alot more with my manual zoom feet. So what is near human lens mm?

Just as I think it really maybe can get me to work new ways to compose. I found at least in producing music that limiting yourself can really be a creativity boost.

In pre digital days it was 50mm.
Now with the crop factor of most cameras taken into account it's a 35mm lens.

That is correct. The field of view is not as wide as the human eye, but the 40 degrees is as wide as the "sweet spot" of our vision (we don't really see clear outside that) and the perspective and depth perception will look natural too with a 35mm lens on your 1.5x crop factor sensor Nikon (and 50mm on a full frame 35mm film photo camera).

Try the nice Nikon 35mm f2 lens.

Thanks alot guys. Will try to find one quite cheap. Most be great to use at party situations to get good view for example at restaurant eating shots to get reasonable close.

Cheers,
