is it important to get Olympus brand Xd memory over Fuji?

Its cheaper and easier to get Fuji type h 2Gb memory cards than it is Olympus and im wondering if I will notice a difference?

Fuji xD will work just fine. However you will not be able to use the Panorama features in the camera or the stitching, 3D effect, or Art Effects features of the Olympus software.

Only downside is panorama then, I couldn't care what the olympus software can't do.

Its frustrating that I've had to resort to Fuji because of the lack of good olympus memory cards!
