Movie Clips - Download to PC or Mac

I just picked up a Canon A 630 yesterday, took some test pictures and a short movie clip. I downloaded / exported the photos to both my Mac and Dell laptop, and all photos downloaded fine and looked great. The movie clip did not download however, and maybe someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I have owned an A 80 for 3 years now ( I take a fair amount of videos even if there is a 3 min. limit on the A 80) and have not had any problems with downloading videos (.avi files) to both the Mac and PC. I use Canon's software (previously the A 80 version and now the A 630 version) on the PC but not on the iMac which has its own software and have had no problems at all. Any suggestions or tips to solve my issue would be appreciated.

Your most hassle free solution might be to just buy a $10 card reader. I can't think of any good reason it wouldn't let you transfer your movie files from your camera.

I downloaded a lot of videos with a card reader and never had a problem, never used the camera USB cable though. This mabe silly but check that there´s enough space in your HD, some of these videos are big in size, I can´t think of anything else
