I just purchased my first digital camera. I took a few pictures and tried to upload them into my PC. I attached the cable from the camera to the CPU. I expected a screen to pop up, but nothing happened. Adobe Photoshop Album and Adobe Photoshop Album SE CD's were included with my purchase. I loaded them into my PC. I think I just need a little advice and then I'll be fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The first question is "Did your camera come supplied with proper drivers as it certainly should have done and did you install them?" I see you have installed the software - the Adobe programs - that will allow you to view your images so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm left thinking that maybe you didn't install the drivers.
If you did, it's possible that you haven't set the option that starts the Adobe program whenever it detects your camera is attached via. the USB cable to your computer. If that's so then you will have to "find" the one you want to use in "Programs" off the "Start" button and run it from there. You should then be able to "see" the images on your camera but I can't help you with how either of those programs will upload them to your PC. I'm sure someone else can give you that advice though.

This may sound like a dumb question, but I don't know your level of proficiency. Did you make sure the camera was on, and on the playback setting?

First: Bob, I won't cross-post anymore. I'm rather new to forums but I know there has to be a system in place for every communication source to be successful. Second: Bob and PhilR, Thanks for the tips. I'll try all of them. I'm sure it is a minor issue; something I'm just not "seeing". Phil, what does the Playback Setting icon look like? Thanks again guys.
