Canon S3 IS in movie mode

I just recently bought the Canon S3 IS, and today used it for the first time in 'record' mode. When I dl the files, i discovered it's recording them as .thm files. Is it possible to change the file type that is recorded? I realize that .thm is 'thumbnail', and it should have a corresponding .avi file but it doesn't. I'm serious, it dl's the entire thing as a .thm file. Help?

There should be two files for each movie, one THM and one AVI. Are you not getting both? Or is your THM file several megs large?
