I'm interested to know what camera you use as a wedding camera and what you use as a backup.

I'm particularly interested to know how many use XTs as I have an XT. I'm currently toying with the idea of buying a second XT or a 30D or a 5D to use, keeping my current XT as a backup.

I don't see the point in messing around with it, if you can afford it, the 5D is the king of weddings!

Ideally I would have two 5Ds. I could buy them but I want to be sure that wedding photography is right for me before I plonk down that much dosh.

So find out with your XT... shoot as a 2nd for a bit. No backup gear needed when you're not splunking on your own. If you have any idea what you're doing after that, the primary body you need/want will be obvious to you.

Personally I'm still outclassed by the 30D.

I would also recommend the 30D. But I warn you.... once you buy one you are going to want to sell your XTi for another 30D :D
