According to DC Watch (http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/cda/lens/2007/03/06/5742.html),

"Panasonic has announced that the Leica D Summilux 25mm f1.4 ASPH will go on sale from March 24. MSRP is 126,000 yen (about USD $1000).

"Counting their dSLR Lumix DMC-L1, this lens represents another Panasonic entry into the 4/3 open standard. The 25mm focal length will provide a 35mm film equilvalent fov of 50mm, so it is expected to play the role of a new standard lens in the 4/3 lineup.

" Lens composition includes 4 ED elements and 1 aspherical element. Chromatic aberration has been effectively suppressed, thus eliminating color smearing and ghosting. Body size is 77.7mm x 75mm, weight is 510g. Minimum focusing distance is .38m, and it will have filter size of 62mm. Apertures range from 1.4 to 16, using 7 blades in its circular shaped iris.

"This lens follows the Leica D lens roadmap issued June 21, 2006 (below). The company is also planning to issue a Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-150mm lens in the fall, and continue with other lens of the Leica D lens group."
