Just got a Canon Xti. Also got the sigma 18-50 F2.8 lense. Just found the board and have learned alot already. So far I love the camera and took over 600 pictures the second day I got it! After reading alot about DSLR's, and how much learning there would be, I was surprised at how well my first day of pics turned out. However, the thing most I was looking forward to shooting didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I wasn't so impressed with the car pics below. Both sunny days but I wasn't impressed. What's everyone else think?

These were shots some Philly sight seeing. No PP other than a resize and a save for web (85%) - even compressed they look better than my old 2mp P&S did uncompressed. Still have a lot to learn though. Most of the shots were shot in auto mode but I'm getting there...lol

What's everyone think of these? I wasn't happy.

Congrats and welcome! I have a comment that can apply to your first two shots. The bottom of the sign in #1 and the top ridge of the building in #2 could do with straightening. Try to keep those lines straight, also when shooting horizons. Other than that, great first job. Keep it up and keep posting!:D
