Got hired to do some documentation for a company in the area that does limestone quarrying.
Nothing to exciting, just drive around the quarry and snap multiple shots at multiple angles. Although, I must say that when I did this, it was one FREAKING cold day. Even more so when I got down inside the pit. It was 14 degrees out and the wind chill had to be at least 0.
Here are some of the more interesting shots:
(p.s. I know I have to watch my horizons...but MAN it was COLD)

I am having some issues with posting images. For some reason I can't use "attach file" tool. I am trying to use image tags...it's not working for me...grrrr
Got a new computer...maybe it's a Vista thing

Thanks forno. Yep, some of those locations diserve a little further study. I think some will look real nice coverted to B&W too.
BTW, it's Jeff - but I'll take being called Jamie as a compliment.:D

Mind if I try a few?
BTW: I wish I had a cool middle name to use as a first name sorta like you. D. Cleveland Hockenberry sounds pretty crappy.

Have at it bro!
I'd love to take the time, but I am sure the monitor for my new computer is WAY off and don't have anything to calibrate with yet.
I woudn't say it sounds cool...but I have never liked my first name. Always said that if I ever became a big executive or owned my own company, that is how I would put it on my door!

Yep you've got the CEO name. Now all you need is a conglomerate. :D
Here's my go. It's not a B&W but an action called "The Look of a Lomo Image." I got it from Beau Hudspeth (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=275545) over on POTN.

Thanks Don. It is nice to get paid. However, I think I should have charged a premium as hazard pay!! One of those big dump trucks just about took me out. The tires along were taller than my Jeep and they were running up and down that hill at like 40mph.
Thanks for the help in getting them posted too! The conversion you did is pretty cool. Kind of a high key.

Yes it is and I think it did well. I am dying to get my hands on a 17-55 2.8, but spent my $$ on a new computer. Just couldn't edit on that darn laptop anymore.
Thanks Tim

Thanks Adam. It was really interesting once I got down there. Didn't really realize how deep it was. It does have a Grand Canyon feel to it. Also reminded me of driving throught the mountains down south via I-75 toward Florida. Once I get my new computer system completely up and running and monitor calibrated, I'll get a chance to play with them some more.
